DAY 1: ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH

  • After arriving at Christchurch International Airport you will be met by your tour guide / driver.
  • There will be a half day sightseeing tour of the “Garden City” including Hagley Park, the Botanical Gardens, the Avon River, the Arts Centre, Christchurch Tram and Christchurch Museum.
  • This evening, dinner is at the “Sign of the Takahe” one of the best Restaurants in the South Island. This is a magnificent stone “mini castle” perched high in the hills above Christchurch.
  • Before dinner we will go to the lookout to experience the wonderful views over the city and Canterbury Plains.
  • The Heritage Hotel will be your accommodation for the next 2 nights.

DAY 2: GOLF AT CLEARWATER

  • Breakfast in the Heritage Hotel.
  • This mornings round of golf is at the excellent new Clearwater Resort.
  • This Resort hosted the co-sanctioned New Zealand PGA Tournament last year to huge international exposure.
  • The layout, designed by Sir Bob Charles is a massive 6491 metres from the championship tees and winds through a series of pure lakes and streams teeming with trout.
  • After golf we will have lunch in the well appointed Clearwater clubhouse.
  • This afternoon we will head north to Waipara, Canterbury’s main wine producing area.
  • Here we will stop at the excellent Canterbury House winery to have a special wine tasting before we head back for our dinner that will be at OGB’s in the Heritage Hotel.

DAY 3: CHISTCHURCH/ GOLF AT TERRACE DOWNS/ TWIZEL

  • Breakfast in the Heritage Hotel.
  • Today you leave the flat Canterbury Plains to play golf at the Terrace Downs Resort at the gateway to the Southern Alps.
  • This relatively new Resort course is rated as one of the best in the country.
  • The views here are beautiful especially those of the Rakaia river snaking its way below the course.
  • After golf we will have lunch in the exceptional stone clubhouse. We continue through some beautiful rolling farming hills before reaching the stunningly beautiful Lake Tekapo.
  • Here we will stop at the famous Church of the Good.
  • Shepherd at the lakeside.
  • We then drive to Lake Pukaki where we will stop to view amazing Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain.
  • At Twizel we stay the night at the well appointed Mc Kenzie Inn where a hearty Kiwi buffet dinner will be served.

DAY 4: TWIZEL/ QUEENSTOWN/ GOLF AT MILLBROOK

  • Breakfast at the Mackenzie Inn.
  • Your morning drive continues South through the orchard district of Cromwell en route to the internationally renowned Queenstown.
  • Here we will stop at the famous “Mrs Jones” fruit stall to sample the local produce.
  • We then wind through the Kawarua Gorge before turning off to do a tour of the historic golf mining town of Arrowtown where we will have lunch.
  • This afternoon we play New Zealand’s most stylish Resort course Millbrook, a golf facility of quality and beauty.
  • Surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains this great layout has an English country feel about it.
  • With four different tee difficulties to choose from, all golfers can enjoy this stunning course as well as its beautiful surroundings.
  • The Spike Bar overlooks the water carry to the 18th green and provides some interesting moments.
  • There will be a special dinner after golf at the Millbrook Resort.
  • For the next 3 nights we stay at the Heritage Hotel.

DAY 5: MILFORD SOUND

  • Breakfast at the Heritage Hotel.
  • This morning we drive out of Queenstown and follow the shores of Lake Wakitipu as we head for the World Heritage listed Fiordland National Park and wonderful Milford Sound.
  • We will stop in Te Anau for half an hour to do some shopping and sightseeing.
  • We then wind around Lake Te Anau before entering the National Park.
  • Here we will travel through the Eglinton and Holyford valleys before reaching the amazing Homer Tunnel which took 19 years to complete.
  • We will stop at Knobs Flat, Mirror Lakes, the Holyford River lookout, the Chasms and finally Monkey Creek where you can sample the world’s freshest water.
  • We then drive into Milford Sound with Mitre Peak towering above.
  • The scenic cruise though the Sound includes lunch which is served on board with complimentary tea and coffee.
  • After the cruise we head back to Queenstown.
  • Tonight’s dinner is at the excellent Mackenzie Restaurant in the Heritage Hotel.

DAY 6: GOLF AT KELVIN HEIGHTS

  • Breakfast in the Heritage Hotel.
  • Bring your camera as well as your clubs today for our visit to the scenically spectacular Kelvin Heights golf course.
  • From every hole there is a majestic backdrop of snow capped mountains and crystal clear lake.
  • The fifth hole “Shoreline” is one of the most photographed holes in golf.
  • This is a must play golfing attraction.
  • After our round here we will have lunch in the clubhouse.
  • This afternoon there will be some free time for some shopping and sightseeing in Queenstown.
  • Tonight we will take the skyline Gondola at Bob’s Peak to have a look at the incredible views over the area.
  • We will then have the famous excellent Skyline Buffet dinner as we absorb the stunning views from the restaurant.

DAY 7: DEPART QUEENSTOWN

  • There may be some time this morning for shopping and sightseeing before you are transferred to Queenstown airport for your flight home.
